Some nights I have those random thoughts about life and just last night, I thought about how funny life is. Isn’t it funny how a person that you were so closed with, now becomes a stranger to you? All of those laughs, those random texts, those confessions, those jokes, don’t seem to exist when you pass by them at school. It’s like the word ‘us’ never existed. It’s like we never knew each other. Of all the memories we had together, life has its own funny way to show that it can make us act like a total stranger. Life can turn those promises to lies and tears. But the worst is, life goes on, no matter what it did to us.

For me, life is like a game. People say life doesn’t come with instructions, well for me, it did, my parents’ lectures and the Bible are my instruction for life. But just like what most people did in playing game, we ignored the tutorials or the instructions and we made mistakes here and there.

Life is a game, the better you are the harder it gets. I define the word ‘hard’ here as unexpected. It’s true that life is unexpected. One minute you’re at the top, and the next thing you know, you fell. How days full of memories with a special person, feels like it happened long time ago, life can do that in a few weeks, days, or worse, hours.

Life is unexpected; How a person that you used to love so much, now means nothing to you, and every time you think of them, all you can do is trying to be thankful and put a smile on your face, because no matter how much you’ve tried, you just can’t simply fix everything.

I hate the fact that regrets always come late. When you’ve made such a mess you can’t fix it and then you suddenly realized you just made a mistake. Some days I just wished to live in the future and those entire scientists have invented time machines. I need time machine so bad, and I know most people need them too.

But soon I realized, time machine will just simply ruin you. With time machine, people will keep repeating their same old mistakes. Life goes on, and if there’s one thing that life has ever been good to us, is that life gave us experiences and it taught us to never be a fool twice. Thus, in this way life will show us people who are worth our fights and who aren’t.
